Solar District Cup
The Solar District Cup is a collegiate competition in which students from across the country participate in designing and modeling a solar-plus-storage system. A solar-plus-storage system is a battery system that is charged by a connected solar system. SolarEO participated in the inaugural competition simulating a 20,000+ panel system with a 14% energy offset and nearly 5 Million dollars in savings. Our simulation was created using novel technology such as NREL’s SAM and Aurora Solar to create a real world optimized solar plus storage system. We are excited to compete in the 2020-2021 season and continue to learn more about innovative industry design in solar energy.
